Connecting Cambodia to the World!
Great news for Cambodia’s digital future! The SHV-HK Modern Submarine Fibre-Optic Cable Project—a massive 3,000 km undersea cable directly linking Sihanoukville to Hong Kong—has successfully made its landing in Hong Kong!
As highlighted by H.E. Wang Wenbin, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, this landmark project marks a major milestone under the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation, strengthening Cambodia’s info-infrastructure and bridging digital development gaps.
Key Highlights:
- Designed with a total capacity of 80 Tbps, capable of streaming over 3.2 million 4K videos simultaneously.
- A direct boost to overseas connectivity, bringing faster, reliable, and more affordable internet access to millions of people across Cambodia.
- Works in tandem with existing land-based networks to ensure stable, secure, and resilient data flow between Cambodia, China, and ASEAN nations.
A stronger digital network means better connectivity, smoother business operations, and an elevated lifestyle for expats, investors, and residents. CM2H is glad to see Cambodia continue its growth into a modern, hyper-connected home for everyone!
